[..who i am..]
I am trying to be the best husband to Jessica and father to Connor I can possibly be. In the daytime (and after they go to sleep) I am the Innovative Creative Arts Pastor at Powell Church in Knoxville, TN. I love songwriting, creating stupid videos, apple computers, and pie.

Famous Firsts

Everyone always makes a big deal out of the "firsts" in their children's lives. First steps... first words... first solid food... first day of school... all of that.

To be honest with you, all of those have been pretty boring if you ask me. There was only one first that I was really interested in and now that day has come: Connor's first Tennessee Volunteer sporting event. Welcome to the Vol Nation son. I'll have you all know that he already knows all of the words to Rocky Top. Well, the chorus anyway... the verses are a little bit tough... not to mention really strange.

Here are some pictures from the game. My dad took us both to the UT basketball exhibition game against Lincoln Memorial in the newly renovated Thompson Boling Arena. It looks AMAZING and has gone from being a cavern with no atmosphere at all to being a world class basketball facility. It's nicer than the few NBA arenas I've been in.

Angela and I were at that game. How did we not see you among the 20,000 or whatever people there. I am just sorry that Connor missed the Buzz Peterson era.
